Mumbai: RBNL’s Radio Network 92.7 BIG FM, known for its innovative line of programming has launched a unique competition Big Spell Bee. This one of its kind spelling competition will have kids with good aptitude and intelligence quotient competing against each other for the correct spelling of the words.
Celebrated actress and theatre artist Tisca Chopra, known for her unconventional roles has joined the campaign as the face of the property. Being at the forefront of providing intellectual stimulus to children through her roles and with her tenacity to engage with children, Tisca Chopra also shared pre examination tips with the students to raise their confidence level.
Aiming to pre prepare the students before the annual examinations, Season 1 of Big Spell Bee invites entries from students between 8 – 14 years across 45 stations of 92.7 BIG FM to participate in this innovative competition. The radio network will scout for kids with a flair for vocabulary and their ability to spell words correctly. The auditions for the spelling competition will take place both on-ground and on-air for participating kids, who will be asked to spell a broad selection of words with a varying degree of difficulty. Schools across 45 cities will be invited to send in their brightest student to participate in the contest. The selected children will compete against each other for the coveted title of the city winner. The 45 city winners of Big Spell Bee will be announced on 12th February, Basant Panchami, a day synonymous with Saraswati – goddess of knowledge.
