Mumbai: Viacom18’s primary Hindi Entertainment Channel Colors has emerged as the topper in current ratings data released by the Audience Measurement agencies TAM India and BARC India, which is a rare occurrence in the recent past.
Ratings data of week 51 released by BARC India for the period 19th December to 25th December and ratings data of week 52 released by TAM India pertaining to the period 20th December to 26th December had an uniformity by holding up Colors as the top rated channel.
Colors which was at No. 3 in the overall Channel positioning in Week 49 of BARC ratings managed to overpower Star Plus to reach No. 2 in week 50 and further moved up in the charts to No. 1 in week 51 by over taking Zee Anmol.
On the other hand, In TAM Ratings chart, Colors was retaining its top position for the past couple of weeks comfortably.
In Week 51 of BARC, Colors enjoyed viewership of 726 Million against Zee Anmol’s 713 Million viewers, While Star Plus had 677 Million Viewers.
Apparently, In week 52 of TAM Ratings, Colors scored 249 GRPs, while Star Plus at No. 2 delivered 238 GRPs followed by Zee TV at No. 3 with 173 GRPs. Interestingly, Zee Anmol stood at No. 8 with 35 GRPs.
Naagin on Colors happened to be the top rated Hindi program on both BARC and TAM. Naagin scored 5.11 TVR on TAM and on BARC it netted 18549 TVTs.
