Hyderabad: The leading Telugu satellite channel Maa TV has announced the second season of ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’ (MEK), the Telugu version of popular quiz based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC).
The unprecedented emotional connect and engagement brought by Nagarjuna Akkineni as the host resulted in this kind of large scale family viewing for 5 days a week in the prime time. To take the MEK game show to the next level, Maa TV has decided to launch the MEK Season 2 soon with Nagarjuna as the host again.
As the first step towards the launch of MEK Season 2, the channel is initiating the registration process to participate in the game show through Call for Entry (CFE) process. The registration will commence on 9th October at 7.00 PM and would continue for 10 days till the evening of 18th October up to 6.30PM.
As part of the Registration process, The channel will flash one question every day at 7.00 PM on Maa TV. Interested candidates need to respond to the question before 6.30 PM on the next day. In similar manner the questions will be flashed at 7.00 PM every day till the last day of registration.
Those who successfully complete 10-day CFE process with 10 questions will get a big chance to reach to the MEK hot seat and win a maximum cash prize of Rs. 1 Crore. People interested in participating in the game show can register themselves during this 10 day period either through SMS or IVRS.
Similar to the 1st season, Successful registrations will be put through a randomization process and followed by auditions and an elaborate selection process under the close supervision of the reputed international audit firm Ernst & Young (EY) and they will determine eventually the eligible participants of the game show.
Maa TV is in a hurry to launch the MEK-2 in-order to keep the growing competition from Zee Telugu as the Zee group channel had launched couple of fiction properties after the completion of the 1st season of MEK and they are gaining ground and settling down with a steady growth. However, Maa TV’s strategy is to make use of MEK-2 to weed-out any kind of competition and simultaneously keep other some strong programs that can be publicised and launched immediately after the completion of MEK-2 without giving any scope of regaining possibilities to the competitors.
